At the conference, participants heard presentation from Vice President Cao Huu Binh, representing PVEP discussing the challenges and solutions for smaller wells which PVEP is currently involved in. Speaking at the conference, CEO of PVEP Ngo Huu Hai confirmed that despite the prolonged low oil price, seriously affecting oil and gas projects, particularly small, marginal wells, PVEP has successfully carried out ST solutions, innovations and patents, and have therefore yielded positive results from linking Hai Su Trang – Hai Su Den wells with Te Giac Trang well, resulting in over 600 million USD in savings as compared to pursuing an independent development scheme. Of special note, PVEP made a breakthrough, not-for-profit proposal to the government in terms of oversight of oil and gas projects with Sông Đốc well, which helped the Government generate additional revenues of roughly 36 million USD.
