Mr. Nguyen Thien Bao was born in 1971 in Hanoi. He graduated from the Commercial Accounting Faculty of the Industry and Trade University and later earned a Master’s agree of Business Management from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT).

In the process of work in the petroleum industry, Mr. Nguyen Thien Bao held many important positions in the predecessors of PVEP as well as important positions in PVEP in the early days of the merger: Vice Director of PetroVietnam Investment and Development Company (PIDC) (2006-2007), Vice General Director of PVEP - 2007, member of the Board of Members of PVEP (2007-2008).

Since 01/2009, he has been appointed as Vice General Director and then General Director of PetroVietnam Finance Corporation (PVFC). When PVFC became a public commercial joint stock bank named PVCombank, he continues to serve as its General Director.

In 11/2014, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of PetroVietnam signed a decision to appoint him to Member of the Board of Directors of PVEP.

With many years of experience in the field of finance, on 15^th October 2019, Mr. Nguyen Thien Bao was appointed to Vice President & CFO of PVEP.
