Mr. Dinh Trong Huy was born in 1970 in Thai Binh. He graduated Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, and also holds a Master of Business Administration from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT)

In 1993 he took his first very first step in Oil & Gas Industry as drilling engineer of PetroVietnam Investment & Development Company (PIDC) and then Deputy Manager of Drilling – Safety – Environment Department of PIDC.

When PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) was established in 2007, he undertook the position of Deputy GM of Drilling Division, Chief Operation of drilling campaign MVHN and project Bir Seba (Algeria).

From June 2008 to August 2012, he experienced many important positions at PVEP’s Companies/ Subsidiaries such as Directors of PVEP Peru, PVEP Cuba, and Deputy Director of PVEP Venezuela, PVEP Overseas.

September 2012 to January 2019, he was General Manager of Drilling Division and then Deputy General Manager of Exploration Division right after PVEP implemented the restructuring project.

With nearly 30 years of experience and many outstanding contributions to the Corporation, in October 2019, Mr. Dinh Trong Huy was appointed by Vietnam Oil & Gas Group to hold the position of Member of the Board of Directors of PVEP.
