PVEP AND PVTRANS COORDINATE TO FIND SOLUTIONS TO DEVELOP OFFSHORE FIELDS

On October 13th in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh, PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) and PetroVietnam Transportation Joint Stock Corporation (PVTrans) jointly organized the Conference of "Collaborative Solutions to produce and develop offshore fields

This is a meaningful activity on the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day (October 13th) to promote business efficiency between PVEP and PVTrans.

Attending the Conference on Vietnam Oil & Gas Group (PVN), there were Dr. Phan Ngoc Trung, Mr. Dinh Van Son - Members of the Board of Directors; Dr. Nguyen Quoc Thap and Mr. Do Chi Thanh - Vice Presidents and other representatives from functional Divisions.

Workshop overview

For PVTrans, there were Mr. Pham Viet Anh – CEO and other members from Boards of Manangement, Divisions and PVTrans OFS Company - which provides FPSO and FSO services for Dai Hung Song Doc and Chim Sao projects of PVEP.

From PVEP were Dr. Tran Hong Nam - Chairman, Dr. Tran Quoc Viet – President & CEO and other leaders from Board of Directors, Executive Board and functional Division, and PVEP POC.

This workshop is held annually to strengthen the working relationship, review and evaluate the cooperation between the two Companies in the year, recognize the problems, difficulties, challenges and lessons learned. And from that, both Parties will offer specific solutions, as well as directions and focus to promote the operational coordination.

Last time, despite continuing to face difficulties and challenges, but the support of PVN and other members of the Group, especially the great efforts of the leaders and employees of the two Companies, PVEP and PVTrans have achieved very positive results in production and business activities.

The co-operation between the two Parties always complies with the production process, ensuring absolute safety, FSO PVN Dai Hung Queen has had the uptime of 100% from 2015 up to now; FPSO Song Doc Pride MV-19 ship at Song Doc and FPSO Lewek Emas at Chim Sao mine have uptime of over 98%.

In addition to the presentations on the situation of operational coordination between PVEP and PVTrans in the past year and the direction for the future, representatives of the two companies discussed and exchanged open ideas, initiatives and recommendations to reach the end result are highly effective and practical solutions at work, helping to increase the uptime performance.

Especially, at the Conference, delegates exchanged enthusiastically about the plan to maintain and develop production at Dai Hung field when many main equipment exceeded the limit. Listening to suggestions and criticisms, PVN leaders have made preliminary conclusions to continue considering and selecting the optimal plan for this very specific oil and gas field.

With good results from this Workshop, the provision of FPSO and FSO services will be adjusted and optimized to further enhance the cooperation platform, towards expanding cooperation in projects contributed and operated by PVEP in the future.
