On the morning of May 19th, in Hanoi, PetroVietnam and PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) announced the appointment of a new Chairman of the Board of Directors of PVEP.
Present at the announcement and presentation of the Decision were member-in-charge of the Board of Directors, CEO of PetroVietnam (PVN) Nguyen Vu Truong Son, comrades members of the Board of Directors, PVN Executive Board, representatives of PVN's departments and office.

From PVEP were CEO of PVEP Ngo Huu Hai and comrades members of the Board of Directors, the Executive Board, representatives of PVEP departments, subsidiaries and branches. The Ceremony was teleconferenced in both Hanoi and HCMC.

At the ceremony, GM of Personnel of PVN Mrs. Bui Thi Nguyet announced the decision of the BOD of PetroVietnam concerning the appointment of the Chairman of PVEP Board of Directors.

As such, PVN Board of Directors has relieved Mr. Nguyen Quynh Lam, PVN Vice President cum Chairman of PVEP Board of Directors of his position as Chairman of PVEP Board of Directors to focus on his portfolion as PVN Vice President. At the same time, PVN Board of Directors appointed Mr. Nguyen Van Que, CEO of Cuu Long Joint Operating Company (Cuu Long JOC), as Chairman of the Board of Directors of PVEP. The Decisions are effective from the date of signing.

On behalf of PVN Board of Directors, member-in-charge of the Board of Directors, CEO Nguyen Vu Truong Son presented the Decisions to the relevant comrades. Comrade Nguyen Vu Truong Son has tasked the new Chairman of PVEP Board of Directors and PVEP's leadership, and staff to be of one mind, to work together, to strive individually and and as a team, to realize their common mission, bring PVN and PVEP out of the current difficulties, and meet tasked goals and targets.

Speaking at the ceremony, the new Chairman of PVEP Board of Directors Nguyen Van Que extended his appreciations to leaders of PVN and the whole of PVEP leadership, and staff for entrusting him with a very important task. Chairman of PVEP Board of Directors Nguyen Van Que also pledged in his new capacity, to continue to work with the whole of PVEP leadership, and staff to lead and oversee the Corporation out of current difficulties, complete tasks assigned by PVN, sustainably develop the Corporation befitting its position as a Heroic Labor Unit.
